Slavery Museum reaches semi-finals of National Lottery Awards:
Fortis Marketing Ltd are thrilled to announce that the International Slavery Museum (ISM) has reached the semi-finals of the National Lottery Awards.
It is one of just 10 projects chosen from hundreds of entries to face a public vote to find the 'Best Heritage Project', and is the only project representing Liverpool and the North West in this category.
The awards are an annual search to find the UK’s favourite Lottery funded project, recognising the difference that those projects have made to people, places and communities all across the UK. The winner will be featured on a primetime BBC1 television show and will win a cash prize.
Since it opened in August 2007, the ISM has set out to be a campaigning museum, exploring historical and contemporary aspects of slavery and addressing the many legacies of a trade that still has a profound impact today. The museum is an international hub for resources on human rights issues, both past and present, and actively campaigns against racism and discrimination.
To make it to the final they need your vote! If you feel that the ISM deserves support in its stance against racism and discrimination please vote by either:
